It occurred to me the other day (I am a little slow on these things sometimes) that we have been raised from the start to believe that this world is a good place to be and that everything will always work out for the best at some point - we just have to get through all these temporary setbacks.

Our lives are meant to be simplistically happy ones. Work hard at school and then get qualifications, a good job, money for the trinkets, nights out and holidays. Funny programmes on the TV. Interesting programmes on the TV. Addictive programmes on the TV. Celebrities everywhere just bursting to entertain or shock you.

Serious analysis of unimportant topics in the newspapers and on the TV. In-depth discussions on the radio or TV. Magazines to inform you of the latest trinkets you can save up for, places you can visit, what the celebrities are up to. TV programmes to tell you all about the latest trinkets, places and celebrities.

All nonsense.

The world, this world, is not a nice place.

We have been deceived since the day we were born and continue to be deceived everywhere, all the time - it really is virtually non-stop and the biggest factor in all of this is that the people we encounter everyday in our lives are almost all, unwittingly, part of the deception. They tell you or advise you what TV programmes to watch, magazines to read, celebrities to follow etc.

All distraction, all deception, all nonsense.

Money - it's a hit

I am trying to work out some statements based on the nature of this money (debt) based system that we are in and will not be able to escape.

Along the lines of :-

"Profit is in a treatment not the cure"

"The goal of any profit based business has got to be toward a monopoly by definition"

It seems absurd that the less money you have the more you have to pay out. Higher charges for your gas / electricity, loans at extortionate rates having to shop at more expensive local stores because you can't afford to run a car to get to the out-of-town supermarkets etc.

The move towards austerity was planned a long time ago and is linked in with the depopulation agenda.

If you imagine that the current structure / construct / matrix that you inhabit is similar to being inside a goldfish bowl, in that all the elements and components that make up your reality are there all around you all the time. You are immersed in this false reality so completely that it is virtually impossible to escape or see any other aspect of your world.

Also, I imagine that instead of being trapped in a bowl full of water we are instead trapped in a jelly like substance, thick and congealing, making it even harder to escape or see outside the construct.

Every now and then I have a moment of lucidity and can see the false nature of the world around us with its puerile and debasing entertainment. The completeness of the intergration between our lives and upbringing, the education system, the court system, the media and of course, the money system. Unfortunately the clear view does not last very long as I sink back beneath the surface making a glooping noise, once again distracted and diverted by the all-pervasive system.

I believe that every single aspect of fiction that we encounter, whether it's TV, films, books, newspapers or magazines etc., reinforces the very structure of our world & lives. The world and life we have been educated about, brought up in and totally deceived by.

Every now and then I get a random flashback from one of the many TV series I watched as a youngster reminding me how much I used to admire the heroes, want to emulate what I saw and heard on the small screen. Monky see monkey do indeed.

We kiss like the film stars, we want to be witty like the TV hero, learn our one-liners be able to carry out crazy stunts and still get the girl. All fiction, all nonsense, none of it real.

Dog is great!

I have recently found Dog in my life and want to share it with everyone. Dog is invisible! Yes, you can't see him and, get this, Dog is everywhere!

Dog can do anything he wants to and we can talk to Dog in our heads like telepathically and he can hear everyone who talks to him all the time wherever they are and whenever they talk to him.

He doesn't talk back though which is a bit disappointing but if you really want something, like your favourite football team to win their next match and you talk to him really hard you will sometimes get what you wish for!

Oh yes Dog is great all right!

There seems to be a distinct trend towards everyone having to wear identification badges at their place of work. In essence a label for each of the sheep and could be simply replaced with a numbered tag on the ear.

Some who work with direct contact to the public want to be able to use a pseudonym rather than their real name, to avoid potential repercussions from their dealings. I think this is a good thing and the scope of possible names you could choose opens up all sorts of fun options.

I would choose something like 'Clint' or 'Kirk' or howabout something subtle like 'God'?

'Mike Hunt' or 'R Sole' or 'Dick Head' could be dress-down Friday names.

So... I am posting lots of piks to flikr because I have been having lots of fun with befunky (which is great and I don't want anyone else to start using it and make better pictures than I can, so don't go there, okay? please)

I notice that there is a group (there are lots of groups, I was going to start a new one called 'Lovely Girls' as in "Father Ted") called 'We love flikr' or something like that BUT it was written all in capitals and therefore appears as we love FLIKR and a sans serif font does the trick :)

A long time ago I used to train people on creating and using computer databases. I was remembering with fondness the magical interface that was a key feature of dBase II. All later incarnations of dBase had a more involved menu structure and a variety of display options available - such is progress :)

Anyway - I thought it would be interesting for anyone who might accidentally stumble across this blog, to show an example of 'real' computing back in the days...

I have a vague recollection of a Six Million Dollar Man episode which somehow ended with the stars surrounded by sheep and someone saying in quite a deliberate manner "Get the flock out of here".

At the time I knew this was quite risque and amusing even though I wasn't 100% certain why.

Anyways, I find it quite amusing how the term 'flock' is used within religion (especially christianity) and I am equally surprised at how people accept it.

It is a derogatory term if you give it any thought at all. The flock are the sheep being guided and cared for by the 'good shepherd'.

Sheep are of course generally well looked after, fleeced regularly and eventually eaten.

We've just had 'children in need' day where lots of well-meaning people dress up as twats and parade around with buckets to make themselves feel good and to scrape a few pennies and pounds together to pay the admin costs of charities with children in their name. Lovely.

Quite often on a variety of forums and bulletin boards, you encounter the words of a christian. More often than not, these christians will lambast you or your opinions by using a verse from the bible. One method of defense you could use against such a meaningless jibe is to reply with a quote of your own.

I will endeavour to produce a range of such quotes and will attribute them to random chapter and verses, using some of the apochrypal books. I always think it best to imagine the "chapter : verse" notation as matchplay golf scores.

My local library had a series of posters on a notice board recently, they showed the good-old carbon footprint and contained homely advice on how you could & should go green and reduce your carbon emissions.

To be fair, whoever had put them at the library obviously wasn't entirely convinced of the accuracy of the man-made climate change nonsense and had placed them on the back of a (no-)notice board placed at an angle where they could be viewed only by the few unfortunates forced to take the remaining free computers stuck in a seedy corner of the main room.

Regardless, I thought I would make my own :)

An important concept this one and it is of course rather odd to be using a tool against its very self but that is the all pervasive nature of words and language, in that no real acknowledged alternative exists that can perfom the role of words and languages to anywhere near the same level.

However, we must realise as soon as we can that the very use of words leads us into a particular way of thinking. A word, especially a name for something, separates at once the very thing it is labelling. We then view our newly labelled item as a separate object essentially divorced from its surroundings and context.

When we have named someone or something, it allows us to specifically target that person or thing completely apart from everything else that could be said to constitute the very nature of all that makes the item or person.

Cumuppence

There has been a steady tradition of stories which involve the concept of a villain or villains getting their 'cumuppence'. Either through some form of divine intervention or cosmic irony, the wrong-doer will be undone and receive appropriate punishment and the victim will be avenged.

This idea manifests itself in the notion of 'karma' or as a day of judgement before their maker. Both of these of course could be decribed as revenge by proxy - you personally as a victim are not directly involved in the provision of justice but are merely a by-stander watching justice unfold.

My own thought is that this form of revenge is not particularly satisfying and that if I were a crook, the notions of karma or divine retribution are quite laughable and could provide a sort of "don't throw me into the briar patch whatever you do!" mentality.

I noticed a number of posts from 'woke-up people' on a variety of different boards were often ending their messages with the word 'namaste'.

I looked it up and found that it's an expression meaning 'love & peace' or something in a similar, airy-fairy vein. I don't know, it just seemed a really trite and condescending statement to make so I ended my faescesbook account with the "Namaste my arse" message.

Control of the Crouton mining is an essential part of the Soup Markets. Croutons are not particularly rare and can be found by most people around the world however, only those Croutons that have been cut and graded by the established Crouton houses can be classed as valuable and are hence sought after by celebrities and the aristocracy. It is rumoured that the queen holds some of the largest Croutons in the world in amongst the crown jewels!

Interestingly, Naomi Campbell (a good Soup star name) would currently be a witness in a trial over the possession of uncut Croutons (dirty croutons as they are referred to in the trade) being used to Soup up all sorts of atrocities.

Thought about this last night... Imagine a world and society based on Soup. Everything revolves around and involves in one form or another, Soup. Value is determined by the amount of Soup you possess. There are some who are rolling in it or have Soup to burn whilst others can barely scrape two small cans together.

You would think that if Soup is so important to everyone and vital to their existence that they would all learn as much about Soup, its history, how its created etc. as they can and that they would want to become experts on everything Soup & Consommé related. Schools and parents would teach their children and special universities would exist to ensure everyone knew all there is to know about the world of Soup.

However, with a little more thought it is obvious that the controllers of Soup, those few elite families that own and protect the Soup lakes and know the secret locations of the Soup mines would do everything in their (considerable) power to make sure that the opposite is true. These elites would also own all the Soup kitchens between themselves and governments around the world would have to visit these cup in hand, to ask for a Soup allowance.

The vast majoirty of people would be completetly ignorant of where Soup comes from and how it's created. They would simply slave away day after day for their Soup rations, saving up if they 'can' any spare Soup into the local Soup kitchens, perhaps borrowing more Soup than they can really afford to take on getting themselves into a right pickle.
